Undergraduate Academics

DISTANCE EDUCATION

The University of South Carolina School of Journalism and Mass Communications offers courses that use live, televised instruction and videotaped  instruction that benefit degree-seeking students, as well as professionals in the field of journalism and mass communications.

These courses are open to both degree and non-degree students.  Courses are offered on a semester system that includes fall and spring, and occasionally summer I and summer II.  Because of the individual nature of certificate renewal, educators seeking certificate renewal must determine the applicability of courses for their recertification needs with the SC Department of Education.  USC cannot determine the appropriateness of any course for certificate renewal.
