
Daphney Pernola Barr

Daphney Pernola Barr is a doctoral student in the School of Journalism
and Mass Communications. Her research interests include international
media policy, with an emphasis on European Union media policy, and
environmental communication.
Daphney obtained her Master of Arts in Communication with Merit
from the University of Westminster in London, England. She completed
her undergraduate studies at Northwestern University in Evanston,
Illinois, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
Daphney is published in the Journal of Health Communication and
Electronic News. She has presented research at the Association for
Education in Journalism & Mass Communication and the International Association
for Media and Communication Research.
Daphney is a native South Carolinian from Greenwood, South Carolina.
She has lived in three distinct regions of her state – the
midlands, the low-country, and the upstate. However, her strongest
affinity is toward the upstate. Daphney has lived abroad in the United
Kingdom, traveled throughout western and southern Europe, China,
Thailand and Egypt. |
