Research Interests

Dr. Sei-Hill Kim is an associate professor in the School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of South Carolina. His research interests are at the intersection of the media and social issues. He examines how the issues are presented in the media and what the effects are on the audiences. Specific research areas include public health, science, politics, and public relations. As a teacher he has taught courses in research methods, public relations, and political communication. He is the Head of Public Relations Sequence. He is also the president of the Korean American Communication Association (2011-2013).
