Bertram Rantin

Rantin is a USC journalism school graduate and currently is the metro columnist for The State newspaper in Columbia.

He has taught Mass Media Writing at USC the past five years and previously taught the former J301 Lab two years.

Rantin has served as both an assistant sports editor and assistant metro editor at The State, and his professional writing experience includes reporting in community government, education, health, the military, transportation, features and sports.

He has lived in South Carolina his entire life.
