Debi Wallace is the first smile you see upon entering the Student Services Office. She joined the School part-time in 2000 and became a full time employee in 2002. She is affectionately called "Mama Wallace" by many of the students she assists.

Wallace has an associate degree from what is now called Midlands Technical College, formerly Columbia Technical College

Prior to joining the School of Journalism, Wallace worked for many years in other public education environments, including Midlands Technical College and Lexington County District One.

Wallace is married to Paul Wallace, who retired in 2002 as technical director at the School of Journalism. She is the mother of two adult children, Scott and Tiffanie. Tiffanie is a 2002 graduate of the College of Journalism and Mass Communications.
