Dr. Brooke Weberling studies public relations, nonprofit, and health communication with a focus on advocacy, fundraising, and strategies to increase stakeholder support. She has several current and forthcoming articles in peer-reviewed journals, and has presented award-winning papers at academic conferences. Weberling taught public relations courses at UNC-Chapel Hill, and has consulted on projects for the National Children’s Study and the Carolina Population Center.

Prior to earning her Ph.D., Weberling managed marketing and communication initiatives for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Voinovich Center for Leadership & Public Affairs, the Bedford Stem Cell Research Foundation, and the Chicago International Film Festival. She was also an Account Executive at a public relations agency in Chicago, where she worked with corporate clients such as California Pizza Kitchen, The Peninsula Hotels, Heinz, Jamba Juice, and Red Robin Restaurants.
